Colostrum Specific is enteric coated to protect immunoglobulins from gastric hydrolysis. Colostrum Specific contains a minimum of 35% immunoglobulins (lgGs), which is double the strength of typical colostrum products because it is from the first milking after calving. Colostrum Specific is collected within 12 hours of calving from pasture-fed cows (during non-winter months) and is freeze-dried (lyophilization process under -40° celsius). This low temperature processing ensures that the different colostrum immunoglobulin fractions and growth factors (see right panel) retain their biological activity and are not denatured. Colostrum Specific is free of antibiotics and hormones and is U.S.D.A. certified for colostrum import.
