Polygonum extracts have a history of usage in traditionaleastern a substance used in managing discomfort as cardiotonics. As an antioxidant, resveratrol may protect cardiovascularfunction by inhibiting LDL oxidation, upregulating nitricoxide synthesis, and protecting the integrity of capillaries.
