Astragalus is a plant that is native to Northern China. Astragalus root harvested from the wild in northern China and Mongolia. In China, the Astragalus root is known by the name “Huang-Qi”. The medicinal portion of this plant is the root, which is collected in the spring, needs to be dried for four to seven years. It has been used as a popular herbal tonic in China for many centuries.
